Feminism and gender democracy are key pillars in the mission and work of the Heinrich Boell Foundation. Throughout the years, we have cooperated with numerous initiatives and organizations to promote women’s rights, equality for all genders, and gender justice in Israel. Recognizing that men in Israel, as elsewhere, should be proactively involved in the effort to create an egalitarian society, we have decided to turn the gaze and focus on the topic of masculinities in Israel.

ALPHA, art exhibition
Alpha explores contemporary Israeli masculinity and the changing perceptions of gender, identity, and equality. Created by the Heinrich Böll Foundation in collaboration with the Museum on the Seam, the exhibition brings together diverse artistic perspectives that challenge traditional notions of masculinity and explore its many contradictions and complexities.
