The 2nd academic conference, held in collaboration with the Family Studies and the Young Adults Studies programs at the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, centered on the way masculine social constructions translate into the daily life of boys, youths and adults in Israel. In the conference, various speakers presented recent research on Israeli young adults’ search for masculine architypes, Palestinian-Israeli’s perception of masculinity as an intersectional identity, Mizrahi men’s ideas of masculinity and its changing nature in the process of integration and success in advanced technology industries, masculinity education, and the way masculinity perceptions feed into therapeutic processes, especially in the framework of war and trauma.
