Dr. Thorsten Thiel is the Head of the Research Group "Democracy and Digitaliziation" at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society (Social Science Center Berlin, WZB). From 2010 to mid- 2013 he was a research fellow (postdoc) at the cluster of excellence "The Formation of Normative Orders" (Frankfurt) and from 2013 onwards he was the coordinator of the Leibniz Research Alliance “Crisis in a globalized world”.
