Dr. Robin Kellermann has a bachelor's degree (BA) in cultural studies from the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg and a master's degree (MA) in historical urban studies from the Technical University of Berlin. In October 2020 he completed his doctorate (Dr. phil.) in the field of historical mobility research. His research interests lie in historical and contemporary analyzes of transport with a special focus on the aspects of sustainability, justice and climate neutrality.
His doctoral thesis was dedicated to the " cultural history of waiting " using the example of public transport since the mid-19th century and was published in mid-January 2021 in transcript as print and open access: "In the interspace of accelerated modernity: A building and cultural history of waiting for Railroads, 1830-1935"
Since the end of 2012 he has been a research associate in the Department of Work Studies/Technology and Participation at the TU Berlin and, in addition to his teaching activities (mobility and digitization), is currently the project manager of an exploratory research project on the future development and design of urban airspace by drones and copters ( Sky Limits ) as well as Project leader of the " Berlin Mobility Data Hub ".
He is an elected Board Member of the International Association for the History of Transport, Traffic and Mobility (T 2 M) and Book Review Editor of the Journal for Transport History (JTH) .
