Dr. David Dunetz is the founder of the Green Schools Network, which he ran for nearly ten years. In this flagship program, he spearheaded a movement for sustainability and environmental education in schools across Israel. He is a senior staff member at the Heschel Center for Sustainability and former CEO.
In recent years, David has focused primarily on climate change education and transformative participatory platforms for policy change. Heschel’s Climate Program, which he coordinates, has grown to be a leading force in the environmental sector in Israel fostering collaborations, Arab-Jewish cooperation and an SDG National Coalition to bolster civil society.
His doctoral research focused on critical transformative sustainability education.
