Ann Cathrin Riedel studied Islamic studies, politics and economics. She is chairwoman of LOAD e.V.
– Verein für liberale Netzpolitik (Association for Liberal Internet Policy) and vice-president of the European Society for Digital Sovereignty e.V. As manager at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, she studies digitalization and innovation at the global level. She was a lecturer at Hochschule Fresenius, University of Applied Sciences, Düsseldorf, and the journal “Politik & Kommunikation” included her in the “65 faces of the future under the age of 35” in the field of political consultancy and expertise. She is member of the working groups “Ethics of Digitalisation” and “Monitoring of Algorithms” of Initiative D21.
Ann Cathrin accompanies the work of Mittelstand 4.0-Kompetenzzentrum IT-Wirtschaft und des Co:Lab – Denklabor & Kollaborationsplattform für Gesellschaft & Digitalisierung e.V. as member of the advisory board. In these various roles, she lectures regularly about ethics and civil rights, freedom of opinion and digital communication as well as digital sovereignty.
