Kholod Edres joined Sikkuy in September 2019 as a co-director of the Shared Society Department. Kholod has a wealth of experience in managing social projects for the promotion of a shared society and equality for Arab citizens. From 2009 to 2019 Kholod worked for the Association of Civil Rights and managed the area of Human Rights and Non-Discrimination Education in Arab society. Prior to that, she was the first Arab co-CEO of Mahapach-Taghir, a Jewish-Arab NGO for social change, where, within the organization, she developed the vision for a shared society and the model for joint management.
In the past, Kholod played a major role on the Committee for Equal Education in the organizations Kedma, Zochrot and Reut-Sadaka. She is currently an Audit Committee member of Zazim, a campaigning community for social and political change, and an Executive Committee member of Mahapach-Taghir.
Kholod holds a BA in Sociology and Human Resources and an MA in Gender Studies, both from Bar-Ilan University. She is currently studying in the Organizational Consultation graduate program at Haifa University.
Kholod lives in Tamra with her partner, Bassam, and their three children.
