HBS Tel Aviv was proud to collaborate this year (2023) with the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law, in a project aiming to safeguard and advance legal, human and civil rights of the Israeli LGBTQI community. The renewed LGBT Legal Database (available only in Hebrew) includes a vast number of current and past court rulings in the field of sexual orientation and gender identity based discrimination, related legislation, and articles analyzing LGBT law in Israel. The combination of legislation, court judgments and academic articles make it a comprehensive database for legal materials that are relevant to the community. The Database comprises hundreds of documents, all categorized by themes. It is open for the use of attorneys, judges, academia, journalists, experts, community members, and all those interested in the legal status of the community in Israel. The project was announced in June 2023, as part of the University’s Sex Acher (An Other Sex) conference.
