Masculinities in Israel Feminism and gender democracy are key pillars in the mission and work of the Heinrich Boell Foundation. Throughout the years, we have cooperated with numerous initiatives and organizations to promote women’s rights, equality for all genders, and gender justice in Israel. Recognizing that men in Israel, as elsewhere, should be proactively involved in the effort to create an egalitarian society, we have decided to turn the gaze and focus on the topic of masculinities in Israel.
Masculinities in Israel – Current Attitudes Article Who is the Israeli man? What are his perceptions and views regarding gender issues? In what way, in his opinion, should household and childcare chores be divided between couples? To answer these questions, we conducted a research aimed at characterizing masculinities in Israel.
