Hadass Ben Eliyahu

Hadass Ben Eliyahu has an MA in Sociology from New York University. She headed the research branch of the Center for Behavioral Sciences in the Israel Defense Forces. Her main areas of research are sociology of gender and organizations and civil-military relations. She teaches gender mainstreaming in organizations, in the Women and Gender Studies Program at Tel Aviv University. She is co-editor (with Dr. Zeev Lehrer) of Sociology of the People’s Army: An Inside View (The Society for Military Sociology, 2009). She is involved in various initiatives for promoting gender mainstreaming in groups of women activists and in developing and implementing strategies for gendered change in organizations.
